Ever
since the first Roger Manning album was released in 1989 by California
punk label SST ( Black Flag, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr.) I've toured the
U.S. and Europe presenting compelling wordy-solo-rock with pounding rhythms,
"aggressive imagery", and often-ridiculous bass levels from a heavily equalized
guitar. ( Given a decent p. a. with good subs it gets pretty intense ).
Over the last few tours almost all of the few "political" songs ( other
than requests ) have been eliminated from the set which is now largely
consist of songs and banter reasonably described as humorously pornographic.
